I discovered drift trikes
13 months ago when I accidentally click on a link on youtube, then I saw
this trike drifting down the hill. I instantly became hooked on the
idea to build one for myself and try it on our place.
The
plan was build it in two months but because of work and busy schedule
it became a lost project until now... Now that I have the time I can
start on building my own drift trike. I decided also to post all my
progress here, as a guide also and give idea to others on how to build
their own drift trikes. I hope this helps haha...
First things first, get the parts...
Luckily I got my drift trike wheels and seat from an old broken pedal car which I got from my friend's junk...
This is gonna be my drifting wheels, not too shabby...:D It fits also with the axle that I already have. There's a lot of options on what to use for your wheels, but I had to settle for this one for now.
and here's my drift trike seat...
Next
would be the BMX and some tubes for the frame and PVC sleeves fitted
over wheels to allow the trike to slide in the corners... That's it for
now...:D
